Tara Galeano L.P.C.,
I am a sexual empowerment coach, speaker, and retreat host with over 25 years of experience guiding individuals and couples towards authentic intimacy and fulfillment. As the author of Rediscovering My Body, I combine contemplative wisdom with evidence-based therapeutic approaches to create transformative experiences for my clients.
My training as a contemplative psychotherapist at Naropa University—a Buddhist-inspired institution—infused meditation and mindfulness as foundational elements of my orientation as a provider. Now I combine this ancient wisdom with modern integrative approaches to help you discover new possibilities.
As one of my mentors said, “Therapy is about creating more choice.” This philosophy has guided me faithfully. Through our work together, I’ll help you understand how your thoughts and behaviors affect your feelings, teaching you to recognize emotions rather than avoid them, and develop confidence in expressing them authentically, so you can realize more of your potential.
Another core belief is that through your vulnerability you create greater intimacy. Truly this begins with you. When you know this and live this, you can access within yourself the resources that allow you to surrender to more love, more passion, more freedom. I love this! My greatest desire is to help you deepen your relationship with yourself, your intimate connections, and your sexual expression.
My own path of rediscovery began after the end of my 25-year marriage, revealing to me the truth that every body holds the key to authentic pleasure and fulfillment. This personal journey compassionately informs my understanding of my clients’ experiences. I know this in the root of my being.
